i'm growing in His plans...
***blush, blush***

I take fun seriously =)

Okay, here's another opportunity to turn my readers off. Hehe, I'm a big nerd and am sure proud of being one!

‌   Television  ‌   Reading   ‌   Music

Believe it or not, I do watch tv. *shocked!* Yes, so I'm not that big of a geek after all. But just because I adhere to some mass production doesn't mean that I'll watch one of those dummy crap. I'd like to keep my human dignity intact, thank you very much. Here are some of the shows that I watch. I get depressed for an entire week when I miss an episode:

Reading makes my time tick away much faster. I hope you like some of these books that I have read over the last month. Reading is not boring at all. It can topple over any CGI that you've seen simple because that's where it all started- from writings. I wish that one day I will be able to write my own book. But I need more training for that part! Anyway, try taking up reading as one of your hobbies.

Oh! don't forget about newspapers. Our family does not have a subscription so I sneak into the library whenever I have the chance to read these daily

  1. Philippine Star has a great enforcement on both their news and lifestyle sections. BTW, Nicole Hernadez was the Star DreamGirl 2 weeks ago
  2. Philippine Daily Inquirer . Guyito is one smart mascot. I just wish some people could be as fearless as he is. Their Lifestyle section is not that OK though...
  3. Manila Bulletin... NOT! hehehe... I would only read this if I need its classified ads section. MB's just too positive. I don't mean that it should be a "striking binge" for newspapers everyday. But their news just seem so sugarcoated. I'm not trying to influence someone not to read this. Just in case you felt sorry for me and decided to present me with a newspaper subscription, please don't let it be MB. hehe...

Music. Two words: Rock On! *guitar solo please*.

I love music! And everything that one has passion for, one must also defend and fight for, right?  I know a lot of people would probably hate me for what I'm going to say= I hate hiphop! *eeeewwww!!!nausea!!!shivers!!!* . Sorry for that, I get sick with just thinking about it. I'm not judging people's preferences. But I have my own likes and peeves right? And the premise for preferences is that options are present. And I choose Real Music (as I call them) above that... that sickening noise that's so popular nowadays. I told you I was anachronic. I would have lived in the late 60's or early Filipino 90's and fit in so snuggly. I just don't get that genre (is it even music?). Droning drumbeats, repetitive senseless utterance, perverted contents and badly mutated renditions. What's with that? I just hate how Filipinos look up to what the mainstream in the West as an avatar of cool. We have great Filipino talents and yet Pinoys themselves refuse to take note of them. And what's "in" right now? Oh you know, the "cool" thing. So what's cool? Could the mainstream definition be close to this: Lack of musicality, real artistry, profound chemistry of words and ingenious patching of notes. No sir, you don't need art these days anymore. All you need is th bling-bling. Flashy videos of cussin rappers with porn star candidates shakin' their booties for everyone to lust on. This is music freedom right? These girls know their roles- sexual objects. But their free women of today and they don't they feel beautiful by having extreme dozes of exposure. Exposure to ma********ng masochists. Uggh! See? This is what I'm against of. It's not the indignation for other people's preferences but because these "genres" are modes of creating new societies. I'd rather live in Venus and die of burning than live through this.

So what do I like? Rock and roll baby! Filipino rock/alternative. Classical music. A trivia: Rock lays its foundation on the theories and visions of Classical music. It's so universal that even without the lyrics, a story so pithy can be felt as notes progress. Need I say more? The following are my influences when it comes to music:
