It happened sometimes, a twist of memory and then it would pass. She would snap the cuffs home on the perp's wrists and trudge him to the car reciting the Miranda as though nothing had happened, as if she hadn't flashed on Alex standing beside the bed twirling her cuffs around on her finger, her eyebrow cocked, grinning, naked. "I wonder how these would work on you, Liv?" she had asked before grabbing one of her wrists and securing the cuff around it, the other to headboard. Alex had laughed again, saying, "this could be fun" as she climbed on to the bed.
