GREAT MODERN WARFARE GAME Overall, this is a great game. Please read the other reviews carefully and make sure that you have the minumum requirements to run this correctly or you will suffer. Pick servers with low ping and less than 64 total players will help a lot with the lags. I run with settings on high and no problems. P4 3GHz 512MB, Radeon 9800 Pro 128MB The biggest gripe I have is that that the ground to air weapons suck and that shooting and hitting targets are so inconsistent. Sometimes one or two shots will kill someone, the next time 5 shots at point blank don't do anything!? Pros: Graphics, sounds, stats, rewards, re-playability Cons: Long loading times, too many bootcampers Faded Z: 6/28/2005 CHOPPY? this game is purely one of the best fps onlines ive played, although the graphics arent as good as halflife2 doom3, the gameplay is alot more important. 10 outta 10. just make sure u got a good comp, otherwise ull experience lag, or bad graphics 6/28/2005 the graphics could be better but so what? it has awesome game play and honestly is not meant to be played in single player mode. every battlefield game has had terrible bots/AI so dont expect that to change. the focus is on multiplayer and it was well spent. this game kicks butt. it has changed just enough that ea can justify the price tag. J G: 6/28/2005 BUGGY....BUT GREAT... would have given it a 5 if it did'nt crash every so often and lag with connecting...emailed ea..they did all they could..which aint much...when I get to play the game its great...once a patch is released its worth every penny and more..till than..save your money. 6/28/2005 ONLINE GAME..NOT A SINGLE-PLAYER GAME!! Don't bash the game because the Single player sux....BF has always been know for lousy single-player games...It's supposed to be a massive online FPS that's why you play this game, not for the Single-player game. And yes there is lag issue and the game just came out last week..give it a chance for dice to spit out some patches before you bash it..'don't worry'... when the patches come out, then the add-ons... everybody will be jumping on this bandwagon soon enough. But they do need to add some night maps and some blood effects. 6/28/2005 ONE OF THE BEST ON-LINE FPS Great Gameplay, Good visuals, Good sounds and a all-round great game...of course there are some bugs in the game, so I'm not giving it a 5 stars right now til the first couple of patches to come out. But I could say the same with BF1942{game of the year} when it came out there was alot of bugs.... not til Road to Rome came out with new weapons and new vehicles the game was at it greatness. The game will be even better with patches and a add-on when it comes out. But with that said you do need atleast a 2.0 ghz cpu with atleast 128bit videocard to get the best out of it. Buy it!!..... it's worth it 6/28/2005 OVERALL GOOD! Reading the reviews others have made i find it to be misleading. Many people i know from the 21cw torunemnt i am in (over 2000 people ) have tons of different systems from high end systems to low end systems. I am fortunate to own a high end PC and playin this game is great. A much needed update from the DC mod many have played. Graphics are a hude improvemnt even on the lowest settings. The game does lack in some areas. For me its the planes... the way they were contructed makes me miss the BF 1942 DC engine. Overall 4 stars and a great game with the let downs being the laggy menu screen and the planes. The game has tons of replay value and is a much buy dispite what other say. A patch for the game should fix many issues we have all seen so far so be willing to wait and enjoy the game. 6/28/2005 GREAT GAME Battlefield 2 is a great game, period. Many people complain about the graphics problems, but the game doesn't require you to play with the highest settings........so turn them down (duh). In the case of the internet lag, that's your computer's internet connection problem, not the games fault. On many servers everybody is running smoothly but then there's one guy lagging and complaining that it's the game's fault, it's not. In terms of gameplay, the controls are excellent on foot and in the vehicles, and as one reviewer stated that it is dumb that you need more than one pilot, you don't need more than one, it's just more fun with multiple people. The ragdoll physics add a really nice touch to the game as well. In addition to the other features of the game, persistent character advancement keeps you interested in playing further. Battlefield 2 is a great game. 10/10 6/28/2005 SWEET!! great game but some bugs and very hard 2 find a good ranked server but gameplay is fun and looks great. |

BEST GAME AFTER GUILD WARS. First of all, I am a huge online game fan. I've been playing Guild Wars for at least 2 months by now (my character name is Eragon Skywalker for those who have the game) and thought that was probably tgonna be the best online game of for the rest of the year but then...right in the mail I got a magazine that showed Battlefield 2 with it's stunning and rich graphics. I was so glad when I upgraded my computer when Grand Theft Suto came out for PC that I did not have to upgrade afterhand like most of the other reviews said. I'm running on a Pentium 4 Windows XP (32-bit) 16 DVD drive Video:DirectX 9.0c Sound:DirectX 9.0c 3.2 GB 2 RAM. Like I said get the requirements first then buy. Maybe by the time you get the requirements the games price will probably go down. 6/27/2005 SOOOOOOO BAD I bought this game and it was BAD I like all games. I spend all my money on games and new systems but I have to say EA made a crap game. I love EA but this game realy bomed 6/27/2005 AS EXPECTED This is top of the line real modern war, great game!!do not buy if u have a bad video card though...9.7 out of 10!! Johny Igram: 6/27/2005 PLAYED THE DEMO I just played the demo and had the resolution set to 1289x9xx and all the settings maxed out and it still looked a bit coppy. It didn't look as smooth as the original. It looked more like desert combat with all the pixalation and what not. I don't know if the actual game is better or not, but if it's the same don't expect better graphics. The gameplay is better. My comp: P4 3.0, 1Gb Mem, 256mb Ati 9600, 120Gb HD. 6/27/2005 MAYBE... Maybe if they do something about the horrible horrible lag...Maybe if they fix the stats...Maybe if my unlocks dont get locked every day... It's truely a beautiful game when it gets going but GEEZ do something about the miserable lobby... I expect there will be a pacth soon that will fix some of this but as it stands now I would have thought they would've had a patch on launch Shaved Squirrel: 6/27/2005 PUMP IT UP, MAN! This game is utterly fantastic. EA totally redid BF1942 in every way, shape and form and we have BF2! My computer is a Dell Dimension 8300 P4 2.8 based on Intel 875p chipset, 1024ram and Radeon X800XL graphics card and let me tell you that on the highest graphic settings BF2 screams!! It is almost photo-realistic! The gameplay all works just as stated in the manual. My only complaint with BF2 is that the loading-times are typical-EA-loooong. Personally, that discourages me from using BF2... Bottom line: I still prefer the mostly larger maps and gameplay of Joint Operations (TR and Escalation). Great game, though! Dope Man: 6/27/2005 NEXT GEN 1ST PERSON SHOOTER! Not only is this game one of the best first person shooters of all time, its one of the best games of all time. This is coming from someone who has been a gamer for 16 Yrs. Make sure that your system meets the minimium system requirements. I have a 3.2 Ghz Pentium 4, 2 GB RAM, and Radeon X800 XL 256 MB Graphics Card, so it runs fine on my system. The online gameplay can get a little buggy due to a high demand on the available servers, but I'm pretty sure it will get solved with a few pataches and tweaks. The game has everything you can ask for: breathtaking graphics, stunning audio, and unpredictable gameplay. Yes, unpredictable gameplay! You never feel a sense of repetitiveness, because your always involved in different activites within various senarios. For those that love war games and own a high end system, I would recommend this game. Two thumbs way up! 6/27/2005 NOT ALL THAT I got this game since I've never played any of the previous ones, and in theory I should have the most fun with it. But that is so not the case. First off, the graphics are poor, they are too gittery on my HIGH END system that it's appauling. Just picking a server and joining it is pure hell, I don't know what's up with that. The gameplay is just not that fantastic. Sure, you can get into any number of vehicles, but the catch is the controls aren't that great for all of them, then there's the needing more than one person for vehicles thing. At this point I've played plenty of games with both air and ground vehicles to get into and those other games were FUN(SW: battlefront, Unreal 2005, Halo 2), where this tries to go for a semi realistic experience. Reality apparantly blows. 6/27/2005 UMM yea i only gave this one 2 stars...just one big complaint...need more playable single player maps and scenarios. when bf1942 came out that was the big thing, to b able to play single player feeling like ur playing a multiplayer game. but i guess ea, like valve, seriously wanted to get more advantages from online multiplayer stuff. shame. 6/27/2005 GREAT I dont know what the problem is, I have a 2 and a half year old graphics card and it runs all settings on medium to high with NO lag whatsoever. Radeon 9700 Pro is the card. Its a 128 too. Gameplay gets a bit repetative, but graphics are great and so is the teamplay. |
