Ahh. What would I do without Electronics, I would probably working a full time job and driving a higher class car. But then I would be bored and would have nothing to brag about. Right now I'm living in a failry small 1 bedroom, which does show off my decent speakers I just bought. I will soon have pictures of them. Actually I will soon have pictures of all my stuff.

TV: 27 inch flat screen Prima TV that I bought from Future Shop. It is kind of a no-name but I heard very good reviews by people online. Since it was a no-name and the fact that I have never owned a product by that compnay, I bought the extended 3 year warranty. It has a Digital Filter, Noise Reducer, It has an Automatic Fine Tuning Feature that fixes bad reception. But I dont think that is a big feature if you have a Digital Satelitte. The plug-ins include component, S-Video, 2 RCA ins and 1 RCA out.

Reciever/Amp:
I own a JVC RX-6042S Dolby Digital Receiver. It has 500 watts of 5.1 sound output including the subwoofer. For music, I listen to it on stereo and for movies and tv I used the Dolby 5.1. I do have all 6 Speakers including the sub hooked up. The speakers are made by Sound Acoustics and are all 100 watts. The Front L and R are floor standing tower speakers and I just recently bought them. The center and surround are a set and I am quite amazed of its performance. But like I said I live in a small apartment, so I don't really need to crank them.

Update: I was watching Heat, and the amp kept overloading. I had the volume on around 26-30-kept having to change becuase most of the scenes were kept quiet until the action scenes came up. BOOM

DVD Player: I own a Shinsonic DVD Player. The model number is DVD-A833. The unit itself looks very sleek. The picture I have on the right, is the exact model except mine is silver and mine was a DVD Home Theatre package, which included all 5 speakers and a subwoofer. I love this dvd player, it plays mostly everything from VCD, SVCD to DVD-R, and DVD-RW. It can also play MPEG and JPEG files, so you can record a bunch of mpeg and/or jpeg files on a disk and watch it on your TV. It also has 2 inputs for a microphone for karaoke. The downside of this player is the fast forward/rewind, its not so fast with a max speed of 16x, although it does have a time search function.

DVD/SVCD/VCD/MP3/CD/CD-R/CD-RW

5.1 channel output

Coaxial/optical digital output

Component video (Y/Cb/Cr) and S-Video output

Multi System: PAL/NTSC/AUTO

Full features karaoke function (2 mic jack)

Frame by frame & Slow motion playback

Zoom (2x,3x,4x) function and Mult Angle playback

Screen saver and Power saving function

Full function remote control

Update: After 3 years of owning and using this player, it still does its job. The one bad thing is, it can take a while to load through menus of a dvd-r. For example my backup copy of Pirate of the Carribeans, it would take over 15 seconds to go from one menu to the next. Another thing is the unit is not so quiet and smooth sounding like it used to be. It sounds like the player is struggling to play and perform.
