Doodles, I doodle sometimes.
Occasionally, I'll do something I'm willing to share with you.
(That's what's here!)
You Want To Go Home?
ribbon shaped cursive script "Julia's World" light blue background, yellow text This is some freehand logo work from an earlier version of the site. I really did do this freehand, with a mouse, no editing. I still look at it and marvel. A one in a million shot.
two very colorful butterflies, drawn using Illustrator Messing around with Illustrator, working on creating the perception of roundness through color variations. I just really like these colors. It's a text book exercise, by the way, knock yourself out!
many different spiral based graphics, reminiscent of spirograph output More exercises, more Illustrator. Illustrator's like the world's largest Spirograph set, and it never runs out of pins!
crude, mouse drawn graphic of hep singer at old fashioned microphone, with fedora and jacket Early graphic for Del Coronado & The Caminos site. Freehand, with mouse, here it really shows. I was using this as a demo for the first draft/concept of the site. If you check out the link, you'll see how far we've come. However, some of the color accents are the same. I was guessing! Hah!
Cheetah fur pattern, demo version, for use in backgrounds and such. You'll notice it's much too small to be useful. I'm learning!
clown spot patterned jacket graphicdark vertical gradient patterned jacket graphicgreen yellow striped patterned jacket graphicgrey radial patterned jacket graphiclight vertical gradient patterned jacket graphicrough steel patterned jacket graphic Ok, now we're getting somewhere. I'm on the road to kitschville, in a clown patterned jacket. No, these jackets are the component parts of a bit of animation you can see in my Movies section. It was developed for the Del Coronado & The Caminos site. Do you see a trend developing here?
bright orange square with purple, red and dark orange diagonal stripes This is part of the background for a prototype home page. The idea was that the buttons, which were text Flash buttons, would "slide" diagonally down the stripes. If I can get it working again, you'll see it in Movies. I just thought it was slick (pardon the pun).
A more subtle background. Not what I'm known for, subtlety, but you gotta throw folks a curve ball every so often to keep them guessing!
old fashioned metal barrel shaped slotted microphone More Del Coronado work. It's an old fashioned microphone. I might still find use for this one.
  Yep, subtle, that's me.
photo of central new mexico, road stretching straight away to horizon with bright yellow nothingness on either side. Only one vehicle in view, deep blue sky above. Titled, central new mexico, lots of nothing. This one you'll probably also see in my Photos section. I had a great time exploring Route 66, and almost as much fun afterwards playing with the photos I took. This is some photoshop work, cleaning it up, not the bug splat on the windshield! Purity must be maintained. No, I did some color correction, white balance stuff and then the nifty stencil spray painty effect text. I really like it. A lot of work, mind you. Whew!
