Yukina's Suspicions by Kerry Yukina's Suspicions "What is that?!" snorted Hiei as an astrologer named Roen explained to him what his zodiac sign was. Roen replied, "You are an Aquarius; your birthday is on..." Hiei suddenly interrupted "February 15" Roen rolled her eyes in impatience. "Yes I realize that, the water bearer, Aquarians are rebels, originals, idealistic, creative, they have quick wit and are thought of as to be cold, als.." Hiei looked up and said rudely "hn, I already know who I am and what I am like, lady. I don't need a complete psychotic ningen to tell me that." Roen was furious by now, for she lost her cool easily, "Then why did you come here?!?" Hiei noticed her anger and found it quite amusing, he left at that thought, leaving her alone to vent. Hiei met with Kurama, Yusuke, Kuwabara, Kayko, Yukina, Boton and Shizuru all outside waiting for him. "How did it go?" Asked Boton nonchalantly. Hiei just said, "Hn", and then Kuwabara blurted out "Did you not like your results? Did she annoy you? Or were you just being a jerk and stomped out?" Kuwabara was interrupted by being beaten up once again by Shizuru. "Shut up little bro." Kuwabara got off the ground and shouted, "Hey what did you do that for?!?" Shizuru smirked, looked at Hiei, and then back at Kuwabara and said, "Just be lucky I got to you before Hiei did." Yusuke looked at Hiei and said seriously, "Hey Hiei, what ticked you off? Why are you so upset?" Hiei just replied with a "hn", but after about 30 seconds of silence he said, "That lady was acting as if she knew me more that I did.” The only reason Hiei went in there was because Yukina suggested it to him and thought it would be a good idea. Everyone knew better then to ask what results Hiei had gotten, because it might give Yukina a clue about Hiei being her long lost brother. That didn't matter, though, for Roen came out and screamed, "DAMN AQUARIUS!!! YOU STILL HAVE TO GIVE ME 10 DOLLARS!!" Hiei looked as if he would unleash his katana on the astrologer, but before Hiei had time to think it through more, Yukina said, "Wow! I am an Aquarius, too! When is your birthday?" Hiei now just froze in his tracks. just as he was about to respond, Yusuke interrupted "Hey guys! Look there is no line at the roller coaster! Let’s go before another group gets there!! HURRY!" Yusuke's distraction worked, for Yukina had an uncanny love for thrill rides, and she was the first person to get to the line. While waiting in line Hiei looked at Yusuke and said coldly, "You know, Yusuke, I could have handled that situation with much more ease, I never asked for your help." Yusuke just smiled and said, "Well I figured that if you asked me for help than it would give Yukina some suspicions," Yusuke paused, "Your welcome, Hiei." After the whole group got back form the theme park, they all just chilled out at the Kuwabara household. Hiei desperately wanted to leave, but he needed to keep an eye on Yukina, he would never let anything bad happen to her again. Everyone in the gang was almost positive that Yukina had forgotten about the whole alstology mess at the theme park. Their hopes were shattered when Yukina asked everyone their zodiac signs, and when she got to Hiei she said, "You still haven't told me your birthday! What is it?" Hiei suddenly seemed anxious again, as if he would rather be anywhere but in the same room as Yukina. He looked desperately around (Well, for Hiei, that is, it was more of a glance up) No one came to his rescue, then he realized that he, Hiei, the Forbidden Child, the strong, aloof independent demon was desperate for help. He suddenyl became ashamed or himself and then replied, "I do not remember my birthday, I just know that it is sometime in mid to early February, before February 18th, though." Yukina looked a tad bit disappointed, and yet a bit happy, for in her own mind she was getting very suspicious. For her birthday was also in mid February, and she saw similarities between her and Hiei, but she also had her regrets, such as, if Hiei were her brother, why would he not tell her? Or maybe he didn't know that they might have been siblings. Her head raced with these thoughts all night. Everyone seemed to notice Yukina's aloof behavior all night, she was not being her usual self, and there was something on her mind. However no one dared to bother her for they knew something may happen to reveal Hiei's secret. So they just acted as if noting interesting was going on and started to watch movies. Hiei escaped the room and went outside and sat in a tree. Yukina noticed his absence, and went out in search for him. After about 5 minutes of searching, she found Hiei in a beautiful oak tree. She called him and asked him to come down, but he just sat there, so she climbed up to him. "Hiei," she began as she climbed onto the branch with Hiei, "can you answer me one question, and answer it truthfully?"Hiei looked up, but said nothing. "Well, I just wanted to know, do you have any family?" She waited in silence for a few minutes, and then Hiei looked at her, his eyes as if they were saying, "Just look closer! You will see!" Yukina got the message, for remember, they are twins, and they have that twin vibe going on. "Of course I have a family; if I did not then I would not be here at this very moment." Yukina knew, she was almost positive that she had found her brother. She hugged Hiei tightly and said, I'll bet we are missing the best part of the movie, want to go join them?" Hiei knew that she knew, but he still couldn"t admit it to himself, he just replied with a, "hn," he jumped down and began to head inside, "are you coming?" By Kelly [Email~Website] |
