The legendary sandworms of Babkha are both majestic and frightening. Like the whales of the sea, they dominate the sands of Eura. Sliding through the shifting dunes like fish through water, nothing can match their size or speed. Very few have ever been able to tame these creatures. And those who have, have refused to share their secrets out of respect for the giant wyrm.

Of all places in Babkha, Zsharra has the most prominent number of sandworms. The vast Zsharran Desert has proven to be perfect for their needs. Filtering nutrients from the sands as they tunnel through it into unknown nests far below the hot surface. Only the rocky crags and abutments, or heavy amounts of water, halt their unwavering advance. This has kept them out of much of the rest of Babkha.

Blind as they are, they react to sound and will eat a wandering nomad as quickly as a camel. Native Zsharrans have become accustomed to this, but the searing sands and ferocious worms have kept this land a wilderness for now and ever more.
