                        It is indeed a matter of great pleasure for me to address the young cadets through the second edition of “Garrisonian”.

Living in the advanced world of today, the importance of knowledge cannot be overemphasized. In this age of discoveries and inventions, knowledge is the real power and countries which are advanced in this sphere are more prosperous and powerful than the ones lagging behind in the field. Thus, there is a dire need for the young generation will have to take full advantage of every opportunity, which comes their way in order to succeed in life. The focus must, therefore, remain sharply oriented towards the primary objective of acquiring knowledge.

As future leaders, your knowledge should not only be profound but it should also be manifested through deeds in practical life. Academic achievements should enable you to think and evaluate things in the right perspective. Always remember that no education is complete without discipline, which refines the spirit and leads to harmonious balance between the qualities of head and heart. Garrison Cadet College Kohat has come a long way since its creation. You can rightly be proud of its achievements and the respect/status it enjoys among top of the institutions. I can give no better advice than to ask every one of you to continue working hard.

I congratulate the Advisory Board and the Editor for taking out this fine issue of “Garrisonian”.
