Admission
Admission in Garrison Cadet
College ,Kohat is given in classes 6th and 8th
once a year at commencement of the academic session.
Admission is granted purely on merit, based on
performance of candidate in written entrance test and
interview. The candidates go through a medical check0-up
too. The written test is given to the candidate in
English, Urdu and Mathematics of appropriate standard.
Examination centers and dates for written entrance test
and interview are advertised in the leading Urdu and
English newspapers well in time. Main entry points in
garrison cadet College ,Kohat, are classes 6th
and 8th. However limited seats may fall
vacant in class 11th, for which admissions
are granted purely on merit on required basis.
Self Finance Scheme :-
Keeping the persistent demand by
the public and the financial limitations of the college
in view, the BOG has approved a limited number of seats
in classes 6th, 8th, & 11th
to be filled through self finance scheme. The admissions
are done on merit of the candidates applying under this
scheme.
Rules and regulations for self Finance Scheme:-
Candidates desirous of getting admission Under self
finance scheme will intimate their option on the
admission form. Candidates selected under this scheme
will remit following amount in addition to normal dues.
The amount is deposited once in lump sum at the time of
admission :-

Note :- Cadets admitted under self finance scheme
will be treated at par with other cadets. They will also
abide by the college rules and regulations. Such cadets,
if withdrawn on disciplinary grounds will not be
entitled for refund of amount or part of amount charged
under self finance scheme.
Eligibility :-
For admission to any class a
candidate must either be studying in that class or must
have passed the last lower class at the time of
admission. Age limits on 1st April of the
year of entry are given below. Moreover the physical
appearance of the candidate correspond with the age
mentioned in the application form.
