Trip 2000
These are some photo's from a first trip to the UK and the Irish Republic in June and July this year. I hope it won't be our only trip.
65 days travelling. Just over 4,000 miles driven in the 1st 8 weeks when we had a car. 25 different places stayed. With 2 kids under 5 in tow :) Sounds hectic but it wasn't too bad at all. |

The B&B owner told us that in winter the water freezes between the rocks and that it makes a great crunching sound when you walk on it. I couldn't resist the rocks and added a handful of pebbles to our luggage. |

Longleat estate: Home, theme park and wild animal safari park. Just believe the signs when they say enter the monkey area at your own risk. They tried to eat the aerial off our hire car. We are still wondering if we are one day going to get a letter from them asking what the bite marks are. Oops. |

This place looks like somewhere Hansel and Gretel might have lived in better times.. I have no idea what it was used for. Perhaps it was one of the estate workers homes but it looked too lovely to pass by without taking a photo. |
