| The Cube makes up the bulk of the Borg fleet. The Borg use the Cube for combat and assimilation missions. |
| History In 2365 a being known as a 'Q' sent the USS Enterprise D to a part of the Delta Quadrant known as System J-25. While there the Enterprise encoutered a Borg Cube. The Borg saw the Enterprise as new technology and attempted to assimilate it. At the Enterprise's hour of need Q returned and sent them back to the Alpha Quadrant. Less than a year later a Borg Cube made its way to the Alpha Quadrant and assimilated several ships and a Federation colony. While on route to Earth the Borg captured and assimilated Captain Picard to have him act as a representative of the Borg government. The Federation assembled a task force at Wolf 359 in an attempt to stop the Borg ship. In the end it was Picard and the crew of the Enterprise who stopped the Borg from assimilating Earth. In 2373 the Borg sent another Cube to Earth in an attempt to assimilate it. This time the Borg was stopped by a Federation fleet led by Captain Picard and the USS Enterprise E. |
