the world is not my home, i'm just a passin' through, come on up to the house               October 20, 2004

wow.  well, it's been almost four months since i last updated.  Working in Trinity gave me no internet access, so obviously I didn't do anything here.  And in fact I'm going to Corner Brook tomorrow to visit a very special someone for a week and a bit, so don't expect an update until I'm back.

so...what's been happening?  I'm not going to try to catch everyone up on four months of my life in this little update, that would be close to insane.  Just the big news.  I was accepted into the Education faculty and...turned it down.  Just not ready for more school right now, too many things I want to do on my own.  Also, I"VE MOVED OUT!!  Finally.  On my own and living with my brother in a kick ass apartment in the heart of downtown St. John's.  It is awesome.  and finally......there is a very special person in my life right now and I have never been happier.

there, that should do it for now.  It's great to be back online   I must say.  Anyway, I have a very early bus to catch, so take care and I'm off....

i'm gonna take it with me when i go  Nov 2, 2004

let me start by saying my trip to Corner Brook was fantastic.  i'm truely the luckiest guy in the world and i can't wait to get out there again (this coming Friday actually).  i am so thankful that she is in my life...

yes, changing the design of the page.  gonna take a few days, so bear with me.  i figured it was time for a change.  i'd appreciate any comments on the new look in the guestbook (hint nudge wink!).  i'm basically trying to streamline it a little.  make it a little cleaner looking and easier to update.  plus feature my drawings a little more.

the new apartment is working out great.  i love living downtown and my brother is a great roommate.  i'm looking forward to getting a lot of work done over the winter.  if i can keep myself motivated.  there's a slew of poetry that needs editing  and an unfinished play from the summer.  PLUS i have the second album that needs to be done.  Joe has a line on a bar that's interested in hosting a CD release, so i better get a move on!

i finally discovered the 1988 movie The Wizard of Speed and Time.  I had been searching for it for a while and found it online last night.  it's a fun movie that i'd been looking for all year.

last night i was lying in bed and i had the strangest feeling.  i felt as if i had no time.  or that i was running out of time to do everything that i want to do.  it was wierd.  joe racked it up to being in a new place and moving around so much in such a short span of time while having all these projects on my mind.  makes sense.  just gotta keep things in perspective.

on that note i'll say "Auf Wiedersehen"  and see what else i can do with this site before falling asleep!

come away with me in the night...  Nov 11, 2004

once again back from Corner Brook.  I've spent so much time in buses and in cabs lately, it's very strange being back in the apartment.  my trip was wonderful.  My sweetheart was in a show at the college (The Comedy of Errors...) and she did a great job.  I won't talk about the directing here, but if you see me and are interested I'll tell ya...straight up!  We also went to a wedding and it was loverly.  I had my first German lesson (hee hee) saw the movie The Incredibles (it was awesome!), walked to Captain Cook's Point (great view), tried to go bowling (damn those leagues) and had lot's of fun hanging out together.  yes...i'm very happy.  happier than i've been in a long time.  ok, ok...enough with the mushy...what else is going on?

-the Warhammer Online project has been discontinued.   Very upsetting.  Their webpage is just an apology from one of the head guys.  arghh...well it was probably for the best since World of Warcraft was more than likely going to tear them up in sales.

-Still working on the webpage of course.  dice and cup needs to be finished.  the art, music and old news sections have to be changed over.  Gonna get back at the album now that I'm home.  Big changes in store for it.  Songs added, songs cut.  Album title might even change.  We shall see...

-Buffy Season 7 should be out within a week.  yah!!!  It will be mine....

-feeling invigorated.  ready to buckle down.  to get some projects finished.  to start doing things.  don't know what it is, but i feel like i'm on artist steriods.  strange.

anyway, i'll wrap it up there.  gute nacht!!

back to main?
Et ignotas animium dimittit in artes...  Nov 17, 2004

so it's been a week, what's been happening?  let's see...sleeping in, staying up WAY too late for it to be healthy.  downloading music.  and wishing i was in corner brook.  yup, i think that sums it up.  no wait..there was some other stuff:

- the art section has been updated, i reviewed the movie Saw in Dice and Cup and also updated the new album section.
- started to get back to recording.  actually getting some momentum going too.  hooray!
- couple more pictures uploaded to my deviantart site...you can link there through the art section.
- started writing some music for my sweetheart's theatre project today and should have it finished tonight.  i feel sooo great to be involved and very grateful for the opportunity!

other than that i haven't been doing much.  it's wierd not having any day to day responsiblilties.  i guess it's just gonna take a little time to get myself into a schedule.  blargh!  i'm planning on another trip to Corner Brook in early December and then after that I'm going to put my guitar in the shop and start hunting around for some gigs.  I might have one in late decmeber opening for a friend of mine, so we'll see how that goes.

gute nacht!!

the sun is surely sinking down, but the moon is slowly rising  Nov 29, 2004

I waited a bit longer for this update so I'd have a bit more to talk about. :)
I think I'm starting to find a bit of a groove.  I'm chipping away at projects bit by bit and I'm happy with that.  I had myself a little freaked out because I had all this free time and felt if I wasn't working on something then i was just wasting time.  but i realized that things take time.  rome wasn't built in a day (how long did it take i wonder?)  I have managed to get a few things started up.  I talked to the owner of the Spur and he says he has some openings in December, so hopefully I'll get a call from there. I played at open mic at the Fat Cat last night and it was awesome.  Chris Kirby of PARC was hosting (best guitarist I've ever met) and I got to do two sets.  The sound was great and it felt really good.  Some nights you just feel on and last night was one of those nights.  I could have stayed up there all night playing I was having so much fun.  One of the few times that I've been truely relaxed while playing on stage.
A few more pieces on my DeviantArt site.  I've started putting all my characters together in one long story and it's going fairly well I think, so check it out!  I've also finished another scene on my play for the Arts and Letters.  I'm confident I can finish it before the deadline.
in other news, i got a credit card.  well, i haven't actually got the physical card yet, but the account is on my online banking site.  crazy!  I'm looking at it as a real privledge and a way to develop a good credit rating.  Plus it gives me a bit of security in case of emergencies.  it's taken a lot of worry off of my shoulders knowing that I'll have it in case something happens.  don't worry, i also have a fear of credit cards that will make me hardly ever use it!
I'm heading back out to Corner Brook on Friday to see my sweetheart.  I can't wait.  what can i say, she means the world to me....

well, that's it for now.  i probably won't be updatng again until i get back from CB, so take care,

kevin
