What is Ketumbar ?![]() |
Ketumbar is the Malay name for Coriandrum sativum
(pharmeceutical name), Coriander, Chinese Parsley, or Cilanto. It is also known
as Wansui (in Cantonese) in Malaysia. The parts of the Ketumbar plant that are
used as herbs, consist of the leaves and the fruit (commonly referred to as the seeds). Ketumbar is used as the basis of many curry recipes or for use as a herb in making 'Laksa'. Ketumbar Restaurant & Bistro's signature dish, Nyonya Laksa, uses a generous portion of Coriander in making its soup base. Another popular dish is our Ketumbar Special Fried Rice which uses powdered Ketumbar seeds added to the rice to obtain its unique flavour. |
