Collins was drafted by the Oakland Raiders as a backup to starter Rich Gannon.

•  Collins completed 5-of-5 for 88 yards and 1 touchdown leading the Raiders to victory.

•  On 15 th August 2004 , Collins completed 88 yards and 1 TD on eight passes in his Oakland preseason debut.

•  On 24 th May 2004 , Raiders signed a 3-year, $16 million contract with him.

•  Giants planned to release Collins after drafting QB Eli Manning on 27 th April 2004 .

•  In 2003, Collins started 67 successive games before an ankle injury forced him to miss the final three games for Giants.

•  In 2001, Collins led the Giants to a Super Bowl appearance.

•  Collins completed 58.51 percent of his passes as a Giant, marking the highest percentage in franchise history among quarterbacks, who threw for more than 1,000 passes.
