In the history of New Orleans Giants, Collins established himself as 1 of the best and most durable quarterbacks. He was placed 3rd on the franchise's career list for throwing 1,973 passes for the Giants. He was also placed 3rd with 1,163 completions, 4 th with 13,765 passing yards on the Giants career list. He was ranked 5th in franchise history for throwing 68 touchdown passes as a Giant. As a Giants quarterback, Collins completed 1,163 of 1,973 of his passes, which was the highest percentage in franchise history among quarterbacks. For the 2000-2001 season games he became the 1st player in NFL history to throw every pass for the same team in 2 successive seasons. He also set an NFL record by throwing 1,852 consecutive regular season passes. His 54 consecutive starts is the 4th-longest streak among active quarterbacks and the 2nd-longest streak in Giants history. On the NFL's all-time list, he was ranked 77 th for throwing 19 touchdown passes in 2002. He led the Giants to the 2000 NFC Championship. In 1996, as a 2nd-year professional with Carolina he led the Panthers to the NFC West title and a berth in the NFC Championship Game against Green Bay and earned his only Pro Bowl berth . In 1995, he started the 4th game of his rookie campaign and led the Panthers to a 7-6 record. He became the first Giants quarterback to throw for over 2,000 yards in 1999 and finished the season with 191 completions on 332 attempts for 2,316 yards.
