F4's stylist has spent NT$1,000,000 to
dress them up for their two new album covers
After being separated for more than 5 years, idol group F4 is once again
releasing an album entitled 'Waiting for you Here.' The four of them
gathered together for the new album cover, fans not only followed to get
a glimpse of them but also followed them with a DV recorder. So that
fans will not think that they are favoring one idol over the other, a
stylist was especially flown in from Japan and Korea to bring NT$
1,000,000 worth of clothes, to bring forth styles for each of them. But
when the four of them were wearing the clothes for a long time already,
each one of them would laugh and say: 'Why is that I feel the clothes of
the other F3 look better than mine''
When F4 were taking pictures, each of them brought their own hair
stylist and make up artist, manager and assistant the competition was
intense, but they haven't change at all, still mischievous as ever, Yan
Cheng Xu and ZaiZai would joke each other and pinch each other's butts,
purposely doing it to make the other person would laugh. Wu Jian Hao
dyed his hair to tangerine-orange color making the others lose (most
scheming), he answered; 'Because I can't reveal my muscles, I don't want
to lose to the others. Of course, I should exert effort in fixing my
hair.' ZaiZai was praised by Yan Cheng Xu as his Mandarin has improved,
Zaizai has gotten the knack of doing the retroflex sound like the people
from Beijing, they do not differentiate their 'en ang, eng' sounds.
This year the Taiwan Tourism Bureau invited the four of them to be
ambassadors to Japan and Korea, a huge amount of money was spent for the
promotional activities. It attracted fans from Japan and Korea to follow
their stars. But this brand new album could be their last album
together, the music company has taken advantage of this favorable
circumstance and has presented two versions of the same album it
includes two songs by the four of them and two solo songs each, making
it a collector's item for the fans.

F4 JOINTLY FILMS "WISH YOU WERE HERE"
MV
F4 is secretly filming their new MV, Wu Jian Hao, Zhu Xiao Tian, Zhou Yu
Min the three of them are ready to go in, Yan Cheng Xu elder brother.
At the end of the year, popular idol group F4, will be releasing their
new album 'Wish You Were Here.' Yesterday the group filmed their new MV,
for the group's lively song, Wu Jian Hao has colored his hair blonde,
when he saw the media taking his picture, he laughed heartily and with
both hands made a YA gesture. Yan Cheng Xu was late to arrive, very MAN
as he was still busily applying some make up.
Each of the F4 members has already filmed their parts of the program.
Yesterday's filming of the MV proved to be very difficult in bringing
the four of them together. The media had a hard time getting their
secret itinerary, a number of media groups were already outside the
door. The filming of the MV schedule said 12:30, but because additional
sceneries were added it started at a later time. Although ZaiZai had
colds he came very prepared, he arrived at 12:40 on the set wearing a
cap and a coffee colored coat, he was very worried that he might spread
out his cold to the others, so he wore a surgical mask.
F3 manager, Zhi Xiang Li explained that because Zai Zai came from Hong
Kong the other day for the promotions of 'Butterly' a staff member
passed the cold virus to him and then he still had to continue filming
the drama 'Wish You Were Here,' he is slowly recovering.
Wu Jian Hao was relaxed and just wore shorts, and arrived sporting
blonde hair and it seems his mood was very good, he repeatedly made the
YA hand gesture in front of the cameras. Although Zhu Xiao Tian came
from Mainland China for the promotion of his drama where there was a
misunderstanding with some netizens he was very enthusiastic, and was
playing with a cat, obviously his mood wasn't influenced by the past
events.
Dressed in blue and white striped T, Yan Cheng Xu, carried an elderly
brother demeanor. Compared to ZaiZai he came in an hour late, using the
camera lense we saw his complexion, he applied make up already before
coming to the location, his appearance is very amusing.
On location the props, piano arrived, let F4's talent and skill be
judged, but the record company still has the MV content kept under
secret.

Refused to repeat NG takes on kiss scene,
Chu Xiao Tian dislikes red-lips Guang Ying
Chu Xiao Tian is unwilling to acknowledge his girlfriend Lin Xi Lei but
he acts with a 100% 'Ai Lei Biao Xian' (love Lei action). While many
male artists are fond of 'kiss scenes', he'd rather gave up this honour.
He and Guang Ying act as lovers in the drama 'Wish to see you'. When
shooting their kiss scenes days before, Chu Xiao Tian refused to repeat
his NG takes and murmured, 'I hate the lip-stick taste!'
Guang Ying : Teased her as Tomboy
Last week, Chu Xiao Tian alleged to the media that 'I only allow myself
to enjoy a willful life until 30'. He is really a headstrong person
before turning 30 on January 15. Crewmembers from 'Wish to see you'
disclosed that their interaction seemed to be 'off-track' even though
they act as lovers on screen. Chu Xiao Tian even teased Guang Ying as
Tomboy in private.
While filming a kiss scene, Chu Xiao Tian accidentally missed the kiss
when Guang Ying turned her head. The director felt that Chu Xiao Tian's
kiss was not in the mood and requested him to 'put more effort'.
Unexpectedly, Chu Xiao Tian refused to deep kiss right in front of Guang
Ying. He said, 'Should we not to do that' Because I hate the lip-sticks
taste!' Guang Ying understands that Chu Xiao Tian is a straightforward
person. It got nothing personal. So she carried on filming with no
objection. However, the two appeared not getting along well from
outsiders' viewpoint.
A 45-degree drawn vision
Crew staff also revealed that Chu Xiao Tian gained weight due to
problems with endocrine. In order to make him appear slimmer, the
director specially adopted a 'Perfect 45-degree' shooting angle
resulting a drawn visual effect.
Numerous rumors keep coming from the 'Wish to see you' cast. Chu Xiao
Tain is well aware of them and comment, 'These are malicious libel. I
know who spread such news.' In respect to the 'Perfect 45-degree'
shooting, his manager Li Yan Cheng clarified, 'Everything is under the
director's control once the artist reported to the cast. Yet, Chu Xiao
Tian is really not fat!' Guang Ying's manager also expressed that,
during the spare time in between filming, Chu Xiao Tian practiced Tai
Chi whereas Guang Ying took a nap. Although they did not have many
interactions, they did not have disagreement.

TV series `Wish to See You Again'
debuts in Japan
Two good-looking taxi drivers carry customers to various locations
around the nation -- from the National Palace Museum, to Alishan, to the
Love River in Kaohsiung. At times, they even have had the opportunity to
eat in five-star hotels. Most likely, however, they eat meatballs or
oyster noodles in one of the nation's many night markets.
Such was the setting for Wish to See You Again, a TV series debuting in
Japan today.
Featuring two members of the boy band F4 -- Vic Chou and Ken Chu -- the
32-episode series was produced to promote tourism in Taiwan.
The Bureau of Tourism said the production cost NT$8 million and is
expected to generate NT$5 billion (US$155 million) in revenue.
Hsieh Wei-chun, the deputy director-general of the bureau, said in a
press conference yesterday that the boy band had contributed to the
success of the tourism campaign in Japan and South Korea.
The number of tourists from both countries had increased by more than
23,000 between March and last month, compared to the same period last
year. The visitors generated foreign exchange revenues of NT$816
million, Hsieh said.
Producer Tsai Chih-ping said the series will be shown every Wednesday at
7pm on Japan's Broadcast Satellite Nippon, adding that each episode will
last for about an hour.
Tsai said the TV station in South Korea has asked that all the episodes
be completed before it would start airing the series. She said it wanted
to see the episodes before they decide the best time slot to run them.
She said the production team had already shot two-thirds of the series.
Tsai said that TV stations in Japan have rarely shown TV series produced
overseas. Meteor's Garden, another TV series featuring F4, was first
shown on Broadcast Satellite Nippon, she said. The episodes were aired
on local TV stations for four years before they were offered on national
networks, she said.
Tsai said Broadcasting Satellite Nippon had played many reruns of the
episodes featuring F4 members, which helped give rise to a large fan
base for F4 in Japan.
Wish to See You Again "is expected to reach 17 million households in
Japan," she said.
Besides Chou and Chu, the series also features teenage idols including
Kingone Wang and Terri Kwan.
Meanwhile, Hsieh said that the bureau would publish pamphlets
highlighting the scenic spots appearing in some of the Taiwan-made films
and TV series, such as Secret, Island Etude and Summer's Tail.
He said the pamphlets, titled Star-Chasing Guide, would be available in
Chinese, English, Japanese and Korean. They are scheduled to be released
next year and distributed to overseas tourists for free.
Hsieh also said the tourism bureau was interested in bidding for the
opportunity to organize the New Year's Eve fireworks display at Taipei
101 next year.

IZA FELL IN LOVE WITH BATANES, NOT WITH
KEN
THE movie "Batanes: Sa Dulo ng Walang Hanggan," which pairs Iza Calzado
with F4 star Ken Zhu, is set to be released on December 5 and Iza can't
control her excitement. It's the same excitement she felt the first time
she set foot in Batanes where the movie was shot on location. In fact,
she fell in love with the place that she's thinking of buying a house
there.
Iza is very much secure with her career. She's set to finish "Batanes:
Sa Dulo ng Walang Hanggan" with Ken Zhu under the director of Adolf Alix,
Jr. and Dave Hukom. Well, she didn't fell inlove with Ken while they
were doing the film in Batanes. After all, Iza is very happy with her
lovelife. But she did say that she and Ken fell in love with Batanes.
"We are very good friends,"says Iza about her leading man who is a
member of the popular group F4. They are textmates and while Ken was
here in the country to shoot Batanes, they were in constant touch. She's
looking to meeting him when they start their promo for their movie.

KEN DO SPIRIT
By Bayani San Diego Jr.
Inquirer
Last updated 11:57pm (Mla time) 11/11/2007
BASCO, BATANES'His pinoy fans will finally get to hear Ken Zhu's real
speaking voice'in a drama movie, no less.
On the TV hit 'Meteor Garden,' his voice, like the rest of the boy band
F4, was dubbed by Filipino talents. In Adolf Alix's and Dave Hukom's
romance drama 'Batanes,' Ken is using his own voice.
It wasn't just his voice he lent to the film, but his total commitment,
says Ignite Media producer Arleen Cuevas.
His management company was reportedly reluctant at first, but Ken
insisted on accepting the project.
He also gave suggestions to improve the screenplay's Taiwan segments.
'He asked that his character's name be changed from T-Sai to Kao, which
was more modern,' says Arleen.
In shooting the love scene, he was just as cooperative, says Adolf.
'Originally, we were limited to head shots, but he allowed us to shoot
his bare back, up to his waist,' Adolf recounts.
On his last day in Batanes, Ken told Adolf: 'I bet you that I'll be
back.'
Less than a week later, he was shooting additional scenes with Iza in
Tali Beach, Batangas.
'Ken assured me that he didn't want to rush and that he was willing to
come back if needed,' Adolf says.
More significantly, the extra day of shoot was still part of his
contract'meaning there's no extra pay.
'He stayed until 6 a.m. to finish his scenes with Iza even though his
flight to Taiwan that same day was 12 noon,' associate director Arman
Reyes says.
Adolf says that Ken promises to return for the movie's Manila premiere
on Dec. 5.
What attracted you to the script of 'Batanes'?
I fell in love with the story. That was why I decided to do it. I liked
the idea that Batanes is actually closer to Taiwan and that there are
(foreign) fishermen who drifted to this island.
The conflict is real; the story, powerful. I also like the love story.
What attracted you to the role?
I have to say that this is the hardest role I've ever done because there
are very few lines and we mostly had to rely on body language. Luckily,
my partner Iza is supportive and allows me to do the part well.
How similar are you to your character?
We're both Taiwanese. (Laughs) Well, I'm also into water sports like
scuba diving. I just started surfing. It helped that I know a few
fishermen in my country. One thing I share with Kao is our affection for
the ocean. That was why it wasn't hard to understand and develop the
character.
What is it like working with directors Adolf and Dave?
Adolf is one of the best directors I've worked with. He knows exactly
what he wants. Even if we're in a hurry, Dave remains cool. He's also
very insistent about the cinematography, which is good because that
means we have great shots.
What are your hopes for this film?
I hope that this movie will be shown in other countries. It's good
because it combines art and commerce.
What do you mean by 'fusion' and Asian co-productions as the wave of the
future?
The entertainment industry has been messed up for a while. But since the
Asian market is growing bigger, what Asian artists need to do is
collaborate in different projects. By sharing ideas, we will become
stronger and we'll be able to fight the so-called Western invasion. But
the first step is to educate people about copyright laws and the harmful
effects of piracy.
What is it like working with the other Filipino actors?
I love them. They're like family to me now. Sid (Lucero) is a very funny
guy. We got along well. We talked about boxing and martial arts.
Uncle Bem (Bembol Roco) is the coolest guy on earth. One day, we were
shooting in a beach and he suddenly said: 'The ocean is calling me.'
Then, he jumped into the water. He's so cool.
How were the people?
The people are friendly and simple. The only problem is they drink too
much (laughs)!
Are you planning to buy property in Batanes?
I'm thinking of investing here. This is a very promising site. But I
think that the major problem Batanes is facing now is not developing the
place, but preserving its beauty.
If I'm allowed to invest here, the first thing I'll do is to improve the
people's living conditions'provide better education, better medical
care.
What will you tell your friends in Taiwan about Batanes?
I will tell them how beautiful this place is. But I will not try to
convince them to come here. (Laughs) I would like to keep it private for
a while. Exclusive to myself.
