Purpose of the Organization

The purpose of the Kentucky Clay Network is to bring together a state wide network of people interested in or working with clay.

Mission

The mission of the Kentucky Clay Network is to educate, mentor, inform and develop public awareness and appreciation of the ceramic arts by bringing together a network of people interested in or working with clay.

Goals

Educational and Professional Development - Annual Kentucky Clay Weekend at Cumberland Falls State Park features guest workshop presenters and a juried sales event. This event may expand in scope as time goes by.

Regular regional meetings with a presentation of interest to members, planning of events and ongoing organizational work and activities discussed at each meeting. Minutes are available at any time to members by calling 859/ 986-1096.

Technical Support to others in the field - a web site where technical questions can be asked with responses from members and others in the field

Sharing of purchases  - Networking within each region will afford these joint opportunities.

Marketing opportunities and networking - An on-line directory of members with visual images of their work and contact information

Membership

A yearly membership fee of $25.00 gains participation in all KCN events and reduced rates in some instances. Membership also gains participation in a membership on-line directory with images of member's work, contact information about each member and links to member home sites or web pages.
