		Just up at the top of that hill, the Air Liaison Team was playing cards. That's the Air Liaison Officer, Captain Fred Palka, standing on the right side of the photo. The sun is nearly setting here over the mountain range in the distance. The interesting thing about this photograph was that a few moments after I took this picture, a 105mm howitzer shell landed about 20 meters down from the top of the hill. The round was fired by an artillery battery of the 1st Cavalry Division. The unit was located at the high point of the mountain range, on Hill 726.
