Mauerman in the Rain
This is the morning after the incoming from the 1st Cavalry. It had resumed raining that night, and, as you can see from this photo, Mauerman didn't ditch his hootch quite correctly. He had slept the night in this pool and was fishing his gear out when I shot the photo.
In memory of LCpl Robert Guy Brown, KIA on Operation Texas on March 21, 1966. LCpl Brown had been the acting artillery FO for Echo Company, 2d Battalion, 4th Marines. He had just turned 19. Semper Fi.
