An Tien

This was not an ordinary day. The local Vietnamese were nearly always dressed in black. This photo was taken on the road to the village of An Tien, just inside the Chu Lai enclave. I believe these ladies are on their way home from a religious ceremony.

I wish that this would be the way that I remember my tour there.

In memory of LCpl Robert Guy Brown, KIA on Operation Texas on March 21, 1966. LCpl Brown had been the acting artillery FO for Echo Company, 2d Battalion, 4th Marines. He had just turned 19.  Semper Fi.
