INTRODUCTION Hi! Let me introduce myself first. I'm Ken. My home is in Singapore and I am a graduate from Nanyang Technological University. My major is in Electrical Engineering. My favorite pastimes are listening to music and constructing my own audio equipment. I hope to share my experiences with all audio amateurs out there. My other projects include robotics, control and Palm© applications, of which I am responsible for the control circuitry and µC firmware design. HISTORY (Skip this part if you do not wish to know about my boring life :o) I have been fascinated by reproduced music as young as 12 years old. At that time I was fascinated by Bose© (!), and soon began building my own satellite-subwoofer system from whatever I had. Those years were the golden years where many artists/composers still top my list even till today. Slowly over the years I gradually started learning about high-end audio, and there was no turning back. I am fascinated about high-end audio as a concept, the balancing of art and science behind each product. Some designers I hold in high esteem are Neil Patel (Avalon Acoustics), Nelson Pass (Pass Labs), and Bob Carver (Sunfire), just to name a few. These designers have created visually and sonically stunning products which are as much a delicate instrument as well as an art form. They are whom I would consider to be modern day Picassos. Special credit must surely go to Nelson Pass for sharing his creations with the world. My musical tastes range from rock, pop, jazz, blues, orchestras, drums, trance, world etc. Whatever music I choose, it must be performed with great passion and conviction, therefore I value artistes who can portray this kind of emotion. And what better excuse to splurge on a high-end system? FINALLY (If you've endured the above section) Lastly, any questions or comments on the following topics are greatly welcome.
