There's a new virus out there that shuts down Internet Explorer.
The main anti-virus people don't have it yet to do anything about it.
You can't update internet explorer at least in XP it stops the install saying that IE is not compatible with XP :>

You can ftp the full version of netscape and it will install.
The small installer won't work it gets a network error at 90% of the download.

Hopefully someone will have a patch out for this soon.

Spybot search and Destroy is great for even the new nasty spyware that the anti-virus programs don't get. You can get it at http://security.kolla.de/
If you like all that is does send him a donation. Beware of the immunize function. I recomend just using the Search and Destroy features.
Don't forget to update it and run it about once a week to get rid some of the junk that slows your machine.
