His father Aloise, worked as a customs officer on the border crossing and his mother Klara, was a stay-at-home mom. He had one sister, Paula. In school, Hitler had poor records from the start. He never really took interest in studying. His ambition in life was to become an artist. When Hitler reached the ages of 16 and 19, he began to take interest in politics and history. In 1914 he was accepted into the 16th Bavarian Reserve Infantry Regiment. There, he was promoted and given the Iron Cross Second Class and First Class. In 1918 and 1919, Hitler worked at a prisoner-of-war camp at Traunstein. By 1921, Adolf Hitler had took total control of the Nazi Party. Hitler's power began to decline in April 1945. When the Reich Chancellory was bombed by Artillery shells. After that event occured, Hitler began to question his confidence in his power. Sometime after the bombing, to risk being captured by his enemies, Hitler took it upon his own self to take his own life before any of the allied forces could. On April 30, 1945, at 3:15 pm, Hitler shot himself, while his newlywed wife, Eva, took her life as well. |
