My Wonderful Mother

(Shes the only one who would
Never do me.. any wrong)

My wonderful mother
God knows that I love her
She means more to me
Than all the world I see

My wonderful mother
No wonder Dad loves her
Shes the only one who would
Never do me.. any wrong

Shes the mother of my years
Gives me comfort, calms my fears
Her arms are always open
To my beckon call

Oh, how precious is her love
And I thank my Lord above
For a mother such as she
None can compare

My wonderful mother
God knows that I love her
She means more to me
Than all the world I see

My wonderful mother
No wonder Dad loves her
Shes the only one who would
Never do me.. any wrong

She would always let me see
That she believed in me
She had that way of saying
You can make it

And today she has not changed
Her heart remains the same
Just what she means to me
Words cant express

My wonderful mother
God knows that I love her
She means more to me
Than all the world I see

My wonderful mother
No wonder Dad loves her
Shes the only one who would
Never do me.. any wrong

Shes the only one who would
Never do me.. any wrong

My brother Ron, and I wrote this song for
our dear mother. We wanted to tell her how
wonderful she was, and how much we loved
and cared for her. Mom, this song is for you.

Mom and her dog Pepe

Born MABEL FLORA SUSIN SLAGEL in Parry Sound, Ontario on November 14, 1919. She was born again into the family of God when she was 17 years of age in the summer of 1936. Accepting Jesus Christ as her Lord and Saviour at a church gathering in Windsor, Ontario. After repenting of her sins, and asking the Lord to come into her heart, she was then taken to the Detroit River, and there baptized. She thought it was the Seventh Day Adventist Church, but was not completely sure. All she knew was it turned her life around, and she favoured God from then on. Even though she had struggled with her faith at times, she would never stop believing, and trusting in her Saviour Jesus Christ. Our wonderful mother went to be with the Lord in heaven on May 14, 2004.
