We live in central North Carolina in an active, friendly, family-oriented community-- in the evening neighbors who are also good friends congregate outside as children ride their bicycles. Our warm and inviting house overlooks a fabulous lake. Olivia, James and their friends enjoy canoeing, fishing, playing pirates, hunting for buried treasure and swimming at the clubhouse pool. We have a large open backyard ideal for playing tag, chasing butterflies, climbing the monkey bars and swinging on the playground. Our home has just the right combination of hospitality, cheer and casual comfort to create a welcoming atmosphere for our family and many friends, and it is the gathering place for Olivia and James' friends. Life is a bit more relaxed and serene in our community and it is a great place to raise children!
Vacations-- Especially the Thunder Mountain roller coaster at Disneyland, the Easter Egg Roll at the White House, playing on the beach at Disney's Castaway Cay Island in the Bahamas, the Fall Festival in Stuttgart, Germany, the Pima Air Museum in Arizona, and the colorful fall foliage in beautiful New England.
Boating & swimming-- Canoeing down our cove in the evening to visit the swan & ducks.
Art-- Face painting is a favorite past time and Olivia's specialty is a butterfly face.
Nature-- Especially watching the birds and butterflies that are drawn to the vibrant purple, lavender & yellow flowers in our garden.
Reading-- Dr Suess is our favorite-- Green Eggs & Ham, The Foot Book, Hop On Pop, The Cat In the Hat and Oh, the Places I Can Go! Check out our photo album for Olivia & James starring as the Cat in the Hat and Thing #1!
