Production History:
The M44 "Mammoth" Heavy Assault Hovertank was designed to provide heavy firepower and armor to a battlefield whenever a mech could not reach the area. Because of it's hover capability it can travel through much harsher terrain than most mechs dispite it's large size and the weight of it's armor and weaponry. The Mammoth's two massive hydrogen fusion powerplants generate the electricity to power 40 hoverfans to keep this armored monster one foot above the terrain at all times. The Mammoth has a crew of three: the driver, gunner, and commander, all three can be replaced by droids cybernetically connected through droid uplink stations in place of crew seats. |
