Installing an amplifier is really not as hard as it seems.  For starters, you can actually install an amplifier on a factory radio or an after-market radio.  The process for both is quite similar and should cost you the bare minimum.  There are a few required tools and parts, some of which may come in an amplifier wiring installation kit.  Below is a list of the parts and accessories you will need to properly install an amplifier.
  1. Amplifier
  2. Wiring Kit (4 to 8 gauge wire for the battery and the ground, 12 to 16   gauge wire for the remote start, auxiliary cables, 8 to 14 gauge speaker wire, in-line fuse housing and 15 amp. fuse)
  3. Crimper
  4. Ring terminals or U-shaped terminals
  5. DC Tester
  6. Phillips screw driver
  7. The keys supplied with and required take out your after-market radio.  If your radio is stock then do not worry about the keys.
