We took a nice Sunday brunch on the famed Queen Mary, moored permanently in Long Beach harbor

    my wife and our friend Eunice

we saw Santa Monica and the promenade; walked the beach, saw all the beautiful people

      the Georgian Hotel on the beach at Santa Monica

went to Hollywood, Melrose Avenue, shopping, lunch at Greenblatt's famous deli on the Strip

  the famed Roscoes Chicken & Waffles in Long Beach

  on Melrose; who's this gorilla??

      farmers market at Fairfax        

we timed our sightseeing to end up at the Malibu at sunset

...and then back to Phoenix for a few more days with the folks 

  after dinner at the Grotto in Scottsdale

   breakfast at a lake (reservoir) outside Phoenix one morning

went to Sedona for the day; this artist community has, let's say, matured...but spectacular sights

    church built into rock at Sedona

  my wife..ever the cheerful one...

we enjoyed our time away from our day-to-day cares...

OK, now when can we do this again???$&#@!!
