I am one of Nicholas Tse’s craziest fans, and do you know why I’m so obsessed? It’s because of his music, his talents, his acting, and also [of course] his looks. All of these aspects make him the famous and talented NICHOLAS TSE that I love. All this matters, but the most important is his music. Ever since I became his fan just last year after watching the New Police Story, I have grown impossibly attached to his music, to the sound, the lyrics, the rhythm, and the emotion there is in the songs of the numerous albums.

The sound of Nic Tse’s striking voice never fails to make me feel safe and relaxed. His songs range far and wide, from the mellow and hollow ringing of an acoustic guitar to the loud, fast riffs of the electric. No matter what instrument, Ting Fung can make awesome and enjoyable music. Every single one of his albums has a different taste and texture. There is always some kind of meaning and message that is being revealed. I think that this is Nic’s way of expressing his feelings – through music. Music is a part of his life, a piece that can’t be taken away.

Grateful for your Love 1999 is an album full of songs that will touch your heart and bring back memories of the people, places, and things you love. Every song shines with its own unique-ness (if that is even a word…). The joyful sounds of “Most Quickly Achieved Dream” and “Do Not Like to Dance” plus the slow melodic emotion from “Late at Night and Drunk, I want to cry” and Live for You One More Day” make this CD one of my favorites.

Not only does this young bilingual singer sing in Cantonese and Mandarin, Nic also sings a few songs in English. “Let Me Die” is the theme song for his movie he made in 2001, called “2002”. Everyone appreciates the beautiful English lyrics [by Stephen Fung] and the surging orchestra in the background. Other English songs include: “Senses”, “Without Me”, “Your Song”, and “Making Love Out of nothing at all” etc. No matter what the language, as long as the music is beautiful!!

Sure, Ting Fung’s slow songs are first-class. So sweet and soothing, but his heavy metal rock songs are even better. I love seeing him jam with his guitar to the upbeat tunes. He was definitely born a rocker, and I hope this trait will stick with him through the rest of his life. “Living VIVA” and “Hidden Velvet Dragon” are just two of his greatest hits. Nic recently has two new rock songs. “Winner To Be King” (Pepsi Commercial [Soccer] Theme Song) and the new Dragon Tiger Gate Soundtrack. They both rock this world!

Some fans buy his albums because of his hot looks. I also agree that this is the first thing that may and most likely will catch your eye. But after you decide to buy the CD, you really should take a careful listen to his music. That should be your main reason for buying. Not the only, but it's the most important thing.
