Chinese guitarists are hardly showing their skills nowadays. The reason first, most chinese singers perform with KARAOKE thing at the award show, mini concert,etc. Though there's some Live BAND in chinese music industry too.. but in Most Chinese Bands which're more interest in pop and punk, and there's not a lot of support for "guitar bands". Though the market for different kinds of bands is changing and There’s more chance in the developing Chinese market for bands that want to go ahead and make their own style of music regardless of whether it fits into a genre. Now I pick some tunes for some guitar solo in different kind of music style.Take them from chinese songs (from MAIN label). BUT...Next time will add more more stuffs from chinese underground BANDs too...Keep Rock On!!!! Overload - The Dream Twines Time Nice Power bending....the pickup really produce some thing which honking and squealing, really nice harmonics on blues-rock guitar ..coordinates well with slow drum rhythmic... it's got the soul To Listen: Just Click Here! First Move Get Control (DTG Soundtrack) It's actually taken from Nic's newest song....this solo is kinda...started with medium steadfast playing then get it up well with fast-kick ass harmonics guitar ..coordinates the tensity, and explosive force with tenor drum sound... so COOL To Listen: Just Click Here! F.I.R - Revolution Em .... found that 's pretty cool if the electric guitar's played with traditional chinese background .. like this one... there's some gothic.. dark.. broody...the tunes are pretty clean.. some light.. some medium....then back to light again..the music background support the guitar tunes well...:D.. Beyond - Hai Khok Thien Khung This one have slow rhythmic...luv this ending solo so much....so MELODICAL-...Have the tunes which give some glorious...got the passion...big feeling with open bar melody..... To Listen: Just Click Here! Nicholas Tse Feat Mayday - Path Of Loneliness It's duet guitar between Nic and.. Mayday. I Heard that Nic use Slide technique to do his SOLO part... Based On Radio interview... Nic thought it would be boring if he plays fast as well like Mayday did. Then.. Nic is instead of using his left hand fingers to press the notes he used a lighter. this guitar sounds quite WILD.. rough...SCREAMING...hysteria rock style... If u listen other Nic's songs.. like Impatient, Velvet Dragon,etc . U can notice it's typical Nic's playing.. mostly with tremolo,pinch harmonics, flicking-gargling,etc.... Shin - One Night In Taipei Shin has strong chinese accent on their music.. even feel it on the guitar too.. thinks that it's a bit affected so much by Tang Dynasty (North Mainland China BAND)...HEAVY TONE.. nice bending and sustain...ringing and stinging... it's kinda steady in rhythmic actually.. but the harmonic and synchronization with bass sounds are really good and ROCKS ur ear enough. YUP.. sounds anthem ... luv the rhythmic and BEAT ..though it's more like classical scales but the background add more OIL to get rock in highway, it's pretty COOL Huh. To Listen: Just Click Here! Mayday - Tumultuous Times Float Lives This one sounds clean, warm, and really melodical. Nice midrange-tone with compression and delay. Monster and Stone sounds singing through playing this tunes ^^.
