| Keeper History There are keepers for many other TV shows. The "Firefly" keeper list was started on the official posting boards October 28, 2002. The Keeper Lists are moderated by KEEPERQUEEN7 and MICHELLERHEA. What is a keeper? If you watch "Firefly", there's probably a certain character you really love. Keeperships are a way of showing your love for a quote (Mal- "Have you got time to do my hair?"), a scene (Kaylee and Simon's drunkenness from "Jaynestown"), an item (Jayne's gun Vera), or a personal habit (Mal's constant use of the word "ain't"). Like something about the show in particular? If yes is your answer, then this is the place for you. It's not about who has the best stuff, or who can get something first... it's about telling others what you love about "Firefly". What can I do with my keepership? Glad you asked! Use it in your signature line, you know, that thing at the bottom of your e-mails or posts. For example, KeeperQueen7 is Keeper of: -Mal's brown coat -Mal's gun -the sexual tension between Mal and Inara -Simon's medical expertise How can I be a keeper? You can post on the keeper thread at the official Fox "Firefly" forum, or you can e-mail us at [email protected]. Please be specific about your requests. It's very hard to know what you mean when you say "Inara's dress". Do you mean her pink one? Her red one? She wears a lot of dresses! Also, please read the rules before making a request. There are just some items you're not going to get (body parts, entire characters, their souls etc...). And last, but definitely not least, check the list before you request an item. As much as you love an item, if it's taken, you'll have to look for something else. Bottom line is, look around, and have fun. |
