| This is a picture of my cat Shadow. She is a beautiful cat, very friendly and quite happy to live with all the other pets and the humans in the house, as long as she still gets her treats. As you can see she doesn't mind sharing them with a dog or two. When she has been out in the rain she loves to rub herself dry on peoples legs or on a warm dog, she is not particular. The poor dogs are baffled by this, they can't understand why she doesn't run away like the other cats in the house. Shadow was one of a litter of kittens born under a bush in my aunts garden. Her mother belonged to my aunt but she spent most of her time outside, so when it was time to give birth it was only natural that she decide to do it under a bush in the garden. Shadow was only just six weeks when I got her and she had spent all that time living outside with very little human contact. I became her surrogate mother and we have always been very close. |
| This is Spot she is about 12 years old and she is a grumpy cat, well that is what she would like you to think. She has always been a strange cat, she never played with toys or people when she was a kitten. Her favorite pastime when she was younger was to lay on the stairs and attack peoples ankles as they walked past. Luckily she seems to have grown out of that but it has given her a bad name. My daughter Vicci is still scared of her. But really Spot is an old softy. As you can see from the picture she would be a good mother even if it is to a puppy ! She has very few teeth so when she tries to bite it has no real effect. She spends most of her time asleep anywhere that is warm and comfortable. She goes for a stroll outside once a day and she manages to get to her bowl at feeding time but apart from that she spends all her time sleeping. ------------------------------------ Sadly Spot recently died. She will be greatly missed. |
| This is Spook. She is a real character, as you can see she will sleep anywhere. Spook is the only one of my cats that is scared of the dogs, they chase her and she runs away. But when it comes to finding somewhere comfortable to sleep she stands her ground and she will not move for man or dog ! Spook is also the food thief in the house. It doesn't seem to matter what you leave on the kitchen worktop Spook will jump up and taste it. She will use her paws to dig food out of it's container or her teeth to pull off a lid ! The thing she likes the most is the fat from the sunday roast, I can always tell when she has been eating it because she leaves foot prints and lick marks in the fat ! Yuk ! There's no accounting for taste ! Along with Shadow, Spook is a hunter and they have been known to gang up on a field mouse and I have to come to the rescue. |
