The timeline project is meant to be a semester-long project, undertaken by each students taking this subject. The main objective is to document every important milestones and inventions in the history of medicine since the beginning of time, and also to include any important world events occurring at the time.

It is quite an ambitious task, and given the constraints of time, the inclusion of all possible inventions and breakthroughs will never be completed. Therefore, it was decided that the timeline be divided into four main categories, according to the period of time.

There is also a reference section, where much of the information are gathered from. Undoubtedly without these great informative sites, this timeline project will never be a reality.
