Starkly modern, it becomes a jewel box at night with a glittering display of neon and fluorescent lights. But you can retreat to quiet cobbled lanes and sculpted gardens for the harmony, scale and simplicity the Japanese have prized for centuries. Look down one street and you'll see nothing but neon and concrete, but around the corner you may find yourself in the bonsai-lined courtyard of a traditional inn. Tokyo is very interesting palce because all most everything you need will be found in Tokyo. You can go anywhere by train, bus and taxi. There are many fashionable shopping place. Women will love to go shopping. Also there are many good restaurant, you can eat proffesional Chinese like Iron Chef!! Why Kyoto? Kyoto is one of the most beautiful palce in Japan. There are many old beautiful buildings. Street is also very beautiful becuase there are many banboos in the side. Kyoto is also famouse for icecream which is greentea flavor.
