| Journals: These are journals I enjoy reading on a semi-regular
basis. These folks are all talented and wonderful writers, and I know you'll enjoy
visiting their websites, and getting to know them. Diarist.net and Metajournals are
starting points, whether you'd like to post your own journal, or find others to read. |

| Genealogy: I love researching my family history: I inherited
this trait from both my mother and my grandmother. My grandmother started our
genealogy over forty years ago, and has thousands of individuals traced. I am
working mainly on my dad's side of the family, but occasionally my grandmother
gives my mother and me a few "mysteries" on my maternal line to try and trace.
The links following will give you a great start in researching your own family tree. |

|
| News/Entertainment/Quizes: Celeb gossip, movie information,
personality tests...these are fun and interesting places around the web. |
|
|
| Art/Literature/Writing: These are places I like to shop at
or check out now and then. Levenger and Collage Catalog have beautiful tools for
writing in the real world; at Amazon, Peanut Press, Barnes and Noble, and Abika you
can find ebooks for downloading -- and many are free! At Fan Fiction and Titanic
Stories you can write your own stories and post them for all to read. Iuniverse
has information about publishing your own work, and inludes classes and resources
for writers. Barnes and Noble has also just begun an online "university". The
classes are free (the instructors post their text listings based on books offered
online at Barnes and Noble), and I've signed up for a few beginning in April.
These classes seem to be well worth checking out. I'll be writing about the ones
I'm participating in. |

| Women/People: I love delving into the lives of others, and
following are some sites where you can find out about the lives of authors, public
figures, scientists, famous women, and so on. |
|
|
| Home and Health: A few sites I visit when I'm looking for
recipes, home improvement ideas, or for answers to health questions. |
|
|
| Classmates/School: Looking for old school friends? Wonder
whatever happened to that annoying rah-rah from way-back-when? These are some
great places to begin, if you want to catch up old high school chums. A few of
these sites also include registries for colleges and the military. Classmates is
probably the largest, and Alumni.net is also a good choice. |
