Yes, I have changed my website design once more. Hopefully, I'll stick with this design for awhile. It's much more simple and I've gotten rid of the "junk". Browse through and then let me know what you think. And while you're here, please visit my forum and guestbook! Thank you and welcome to the world of katzplanet!

New things are happening around here all the time: hope you're checking back here often to see what's up. Most of my old site is now moved over, although the book section will still take a little more time yet. I've also come up with some ideas for the journal section, and should have some entries there within the next few weeks.

Interested in genealogy? The [ USGenWeb Project ] needs volunteers in all counties and states, and with several different projects, to help make research materials and sources available for everyone. It's a huge task, and even if a section that you want to work on is not available, updates are happening all the time. My own site under the project for [ Washoe County, NV ], is up and running. As the County Coordinator, I'm responsible for designing and maintaining the site, and also for searching the web for more information to help genealogists interested in searching in this area.

At [ Suite101.com ], I am the Contributing Editor for the state of [ Nevada ]. My latest article was posted on March 20th, and is the third of a four-part series about women in Nevada, in honor of Women's History Month. I am also hosting a special event on the Suite celebrating the history of women world-wide. You can access the event by checking "Suite Events".

A good friend of mine creates beautiful slipcovers that can give your furniture a whole new look. Her work is just fantastic, and very creative. You could completely redecorate your home without having to go through the expense of buying new chairs or sofas. Another great idea to update your decor, or begin decorating a new home, is to hunt through flea markets, thrift shops, and antique shops for great pieces that just need new fabric. You could save a lot of money and still end up with piece of furniture you'll treasure. I've built a website for her, based on one of the business cards she gave me. Don't forget to sign her guestbook! Please check out her site at [ Ju-Te's got you covered... ]

You can check out my collection of [ Variations of the Golden Rule ].

I've been having fun taking some of the tests on [ emode ]. Following are some of my results.

  • I am a St. Bernard, at heart.
  • My celeb soul-mate is Harrison Ford. (Like I needed a test to learn that!)
  • I am the color brown.
  • I scored high in Openness to Experience, which means that I probably have a strong creative streak. Ya don't say?
  • I received a medium score in the Conscientiousness category, which means that I have achieved a solid balance in my outlook towards responsibility.
  • I scored medium in the Extraversion category, defining my social identity as probably comfortable in either a crowd or by myself, and spending time alone or with company is equally enjoyable.
  • My score in the Agreeableness (is that even a word?) category was a medium score, and indicates someone who balances the priorities of my own inner voice with the needs of others.
  • My medium score in Negative Emotionality refers to my emotional reactivity, and I am someone who negotiates my emotions depending on my situation.
  • And, finally, my superpower is ANIMAL COMMUNICATION! Many people pretend to talk to their pets, but I can really, truly do it. Watch out, X-Men!
