| In my life, not many things have had such a profound effect on me as my "children." At a very young age, twenty-two, I was told I could not have children of my own, due to a horrible injury inflicted upon me. The news was devistating, but I bounced back, deciding to adopt a cat. That one cat snowballed into the adoption of several. I treated each and every one of them as if they were my human children. When they "leave" for the prestigious University where only the most genius of cats and dogs are accepted, a gigantic hole is left in my heart that will never be filled.
