| This is my youngest "daughter", Lexi. She is kind of a stuck-up brat, probably because she is a pure-bred pastal-point Himalayan with papers. I call her "dislexia", because she has a strange habit of looking at the world up-side-down, through her giant light blue eyes. Her little purr sounds like she has a stuffed up nose. She needs to be brushed every day, but that means taking my life into my hands; she hates it...turning into the cat from HELL each time I attempt to even touch her! So, her fur gets matted, meaning I have to cut away patches during shedding season. | ||||||||
| On Thursday, May 19, 2005, at 3:00 Pm (Pacific Daylight Saving's Time), I had to have my lil Pluffiness, Lexi, put to sleep. She had been suffering from kidney disease and went into septic shock, a common result of kidney failure. A huge hole is left where she once resided and, in truth, I am still not over the loss of her playmate, Skweek. Lexi became depressed after Skweek disappeared from her life and, I would often find her sitting out by his grave, just staring off into space. Now she will be re-united with Skweek (and their older brother, Purb) so they can run and play just like they did for years while they were young. Needless to say, I miss them...more than mere words could possibly express. My heart is heavy, and will remain so for quite some time to come. |
