Getting to Athens |

We took the ferry overnight to Athens. This is us sitting around waiting to get on the big 'ol boat. |

As usual, we overpacked. We're girls. Plus, most of us went traveling after Athens. |

Marcie and I had the same backpack. |

We took lots of pictures as the boat was taking off, while it was still light out. This is of Aklidiou, where our hotel was. In the middle you see a bell tower- that's the one from our walk home. In the far left corner is a building with three points- that's right next to our beach. Now you're oriented :) |

From the back of the boat- this is the wake, plus lots of frolicking seagulls. One got close enough for a picture. |

Kara pretended to climb a ladder on the boat. What you can't see is- right over her head is a thing blocking people from climbing higher. But she's cute, so we let her do silly things in pictures. |

Technically, Athens was "Educational Field Trip #3". You will see, when you get to the Athens pictures, that we went on a tour with a tour guide named Theodora, and learned lots of stuff. Sophia was with us, lecturing all the way across shopping centers and historical sites. On the ferry, we had a lecture from a guest lecturer. We couldn't escape. The sunset was pretty, and we couldn't get out to see it. I made Kara sneak off pretending to go to the bathroom to take a picture. This is it. Pretty, eh? Just a sign of many more gorgeous sunsets to come. |

The boat stopped in Chios for an hour, allowing us time to shop a little and get a picture for proof. |
