| Homework Policy For Our Class |
| Students will receive homework on Monday through Thursday evenings. It's very important that your child get back into the habit after having the summer months away from school. Our class will be working towards a common goal of completing a HOMEWORK CLUB banner. Each day that the entire class has completed homework, we will add another letter to the chart. After the chart is completed, we will have some type of mini-celebration party such as pizza, ice cream or a free time activity. Those not completing homework will complete it at recess time the day that it's due so that the work is finished in a timely manner. I don't want to be adding onto new homework assignments. Typical daily homework assignments will consist of reading at least 15 minutes nightly, spelling skills, and math. Specific assignments will be written nightly in the students planners. Please check and sign this planner daily as well as their reading log. This also gives us another opportunity to communicate as needed. Spelling homework will be done in their homework folder. Creating good study habits will help the students to improve necessary lifetime skills for today and the future as well as comprehension and responsibility.
