The NeoPets Bank

The National Neopian Bank is located in Neopia Central

A very useful thing to have is a Bank Account. You can use it to keep your NeoPints safe from random events, and also to prevent you spending them! One cool thing about the Bank, is that you gain interest on however much money you have in your account. You can take your money out any time you like!

To open a Bank account, go to the Bank and select "open a Bank Account" it doesnt cost you anything, in fact you even get a small NP reward for opening an account!

There are several different types of account you can have, each is dependant on you depositing a certain amount of NeoPoints, and each will give you a different interest rate.

Interest

You interest is calculated on the amount of NeoPoints you have in your account, it is always rounded down to the nearest whole NeoPoint. Also you have to remember to collect your interest every day, or you will lose it! You can do this by clicking on the "Collect Interest" button near the bottom of the screen.

Note - In January 2002, the Bank cut its interest rates by 2% :O
