NeoQuest Help

NeoQuest is the latest game on NeoPets, it is an Role-Playing-Game (RPG) style game.

The idea is that each of your pets can play, they take the role of a white Lupe exploring Neopia. You get to choose your character traits, e.g. which skills you know, and a basic starting weapon, then off you go and explore! I would advise reading the help file for this game, as it can be a little complicated, especially character creation! Also, make sure you talk to Eleus Batrin as soon as you start the game, as he will explain your quest!

I have started to create this guide to NeoQuest to help players, but as I have not finished NeoQuest myself yet, there will be lots more updates happening as I get further in the game!

If you have any hints and tips for NeoQuest, please NeoMail me!

General Advice

As soon as you have created your character, talk to Eleus Batrin - he will explain a little about the world, and will offer to create a special wand for you if you collect some items for him.

Once you have spoken to Eleus Batrin, walk around the other eight squares that make up Neopia City, there are four other people that you can talk to, they will be very helpful!

After you've chatted to everyone in the city (and made a note of any items they have asked for), head East - you will come to a small area sheltered by hills and mountains, this is the Training Grounds. Here you can learn to fight, and practice techniques with very little chance of getting killed. Once you have gained a couple of levels, head back West and explore a little - don't go too far from the city! The monsters get tougher the further you go!

Once you can beat everything with very little effort, head Northwest from Neopia City, to the hills of Jub. Have a look around in the hills until you see the cave entrance and go inside. These are the Dank Caves - go slow and take your time, the monsters on the first level are not too hard, but the deeper you go, the worse they get.

Tips

Never hesitate to Flee if the enemy is too tough for you - he that runs away lives to fight another day! Use my Monster Guide to check the average amounts of damage or special moves a monster can do!

If the monster is more then a few levels higher then you, its generally a good idea to run away!

Use my handy Maps so you don't loose your way - especially useful in the maze!

Make sure you have plenty of Healing Potions before entering a dangerous area - like the Ruins!

If you are near gaining a level (use my Experience Table to check) and you are running low on hit points, don't use a healing potion - fight weaker monsters that can't harm you badly until you gain that level - your hit points will be restored to maximum and you will still have your healing potion for later use! (only do this if you feel its safe to do so).

When wandering around on the Neopian Plains, always stay in Hunt mode - this means you will encounter more monsters to fight, so you will get more experience and gain levels quicker! (again, only do this if you feel you can take on anything that comes your way)!

When entering a new area and you're not sure if you can take on the monsters, or if you need to leave a dangerous area to get more healing potions, go into Sneak movement mode, this reduces the chance of meeting monsters.

Make sure you are always carrying loads of Glowing Stones, these seem to be used for almost everything! :)
