Meerca Chase

Meerca Chase is an Action game with a rating of Easy.

As this is a Flash game, you can only score points three times a day, so make sure you practice before you start sending your scores!

It is basically the Snake game, the idea is to guide your Meerca around the board, picking up the good Neggs to get points and avoiding the Red Neggs which will mean game over! Your Meerca travels in which ever direction he is facing at a speed dictated by the difficulty level of the game, all you have to do is hit the arrow keys to change direction.

Each good Negg that you eat will increase the length of your tail. If you eat a Red Negg, hit the wall, or bump into your own tail, its game over!

If you manage to score more then 900 points in any of the games you send the score in, you will win a Magical Meerca Plushie!

Tips

Always move around the screen in a circular pattern.

Don't Panic, if you miss a Good Negg first time round, give yourself plenty of space to be able to get it on the next pass.

Once your tail gets longer, keep to the outside edges of the screen, then nip into the centre of the screen to grab a Negg, then go straight back to the outer edges again. This was your tail never gets in your way.

If a Negg is directly next to the wall, or a Red Negg, try to position yourself, so that you don't have to change direction immediately you get the Negg.

When playing on the harder levels, don't click on the "Start" button, instead press SPACEBAR to begin the level, this means that your hands are already on the keyboard, and will give you a very slight advantage!

The Neggs are worth a different amount of point on each level, the following chart shows how much!

The Levels

Easy - Very slow, easy to control Meerca. Playing on this level can take a long time to get a good score, also as the Neggs are worth less, your tail will be very long before you get a decent score. Best Level to practice on.

Medium - Once you have mastered the basics of the game in the Easy level, I recommend playing on Medium. The Meerca moves faster, but is still easily controllable, and the Neggs are worth more points.

Hard - The Meerca moves very fast on this one, and for every couple of Neggs you eat, you get an extra space added in your tail, this makes your tail get longer much faster! I haven't worked out if you can actually go through the holes in your tail, but I think its unlikely!

Secret Level One - This is found by hitting the SHIFT key on your keyboard. Once you have done this, you will notice that the level indicator disappears. Then click on "Start" or press SPACEBAR to begin the level. This is VERY fast, and sometimes your controls are reversed - for example, you may press the right arrow, but the Meerca will turn left!

Secret Level Two - This is found by pressing the TAB key on your keyboard. Watch the screen closely when you do this, as a small outline of a rectangle will flash in the upper right corner of the screen. If you put your mouse over this, the cursor will change to a hand, click in the rectangle and the level indicator will disappear. Click "Start" or press SPACEBAR to begin the level. This level is very very fast!
