�Kaliacra 2002� Summer school took place in Varna from 16.06.2002 to 18.06.2002. The participants were the students from the High School of Natural Sciences �Academic Metodi Popov� � Varna, Bulgaria and the students from Agricultural College �Nicolae Cornateanu� � Tulcea, Romania.
The goals of this meeting were to promote the SEMEP principals of environmental education, to improve the knowledge of the students on similarities of biodiversity in Balkan area and to extend the collaboration among the students from SEMEP schools.
The agenda consisted in:
- field trip to Kaliacra cape
work shop in the Botanical Garden from Balchik
field trip to Alaja Monastry (a Rock Monastry protected by UNESCO )
cultural events

work shop at the Sea park and the Varna Beach
preparation for college and the brochure
presentation of final results

The Bulgarian and the Romanian students worked together I teams and they collaborated with the SEMEP teachers who organized the work shops.
Theoretical parts of the work shops were presented by a high qualified specialist who gave interesting and useful information to the participants at the Summer School. We were grateful to:

The results of the our activities proved the importance of the collaboration between SEMEP students and teachers in promoting the sustainable development.
The slogan of the Summer School was �Let�s do it together�, and all the participants tried �learning by doing � to be awert of their resposabilities on the envoronment.
Bulgarian and Romanian teachers had their own work concerning the future SEMEP projects and SEMEP Summer School in Tulcea,Romania.
They established the terms of their meeting and they disscused about the alternatives in environmental education and opportunities in cooperation with other SEMEP schools.
They evaluated the participatory approaches in the frame of Summer School �Kaliakra 2002� and the high level of students performances.
The students appreciated the work team and both practical and theoretical activities and they realized they belong to the same geographic area,they have some similar customs,traditions and lifestyle.
