i never thought public speaking was my forte.

but a little courage, a couple of invitations and confidence in the subject, helped a great deal. i find seminars great places to air the concepts we all gather in our heads and to find out what others think.

experience design

my current favourite topic and one i can debate for hours on.
prof. ravi poovaiah gave me an opportunity to speak on it
at the design for interactive media conference in mumbai on december 6, 2001. the presentation took the audience through various kinds of experiences, across media. it pointed out why we as designers and planners need to consider the wholistic picture when conceiving a design solution.

contextual inquiry

i must confess when prof. anirudha joshi of iit asked me to speak on this topic at the HCI conference in bangalore, i wasn't too familiar with the term. but a little digging under the imposing name, and i realised what it really meant was - "how to go all out to know your user". this presentation touches upon the approach and methodologies of contextual inquiry.
