Riddyl

Description

Riddyl is the ~ahem~ "eternal token" of a dalliance of the Scion of Ember and a "mystery" woman. Not that Riddyl's heritage could have been a secret for long, there is enough "family resemblance" to identify his lineage. Yet, in many ways, he must resemble his unknown mother. His eyes are mismatched colors, his hair resembles a torch in both color and disarray. His skin has more of a "tan" than the fair climate of Ember should be able to maintain. His mother must have been quite beautiful, the court wags agree, but the combination of bloodlines that is Riddyl are striking more than blandly handsome. In any case, the intimates of Ember have to be very bored indeed to think about Riddyl at all. For a variety of reasons, he can be a trifling nuisance or a trifling asset; but the operative word here is trifling.

Other Notes

Holder of the Stone of Foomall:
Only the chosen successors of the Scion are told how to unlock this secret. (description above) The Scion of Ember holds absolute reign over the kingdom's policies. He/She is the only decision maker for all national policies: make treaties, sign contracts, set tariffs and rates of exchange, supreme judge of crime, giver of pardons, declarer of war and peace. The Scion resides in the Castle Ember, yet by some apparently magical means travels freely, popping up unannounced anywhere in the kingdom at any time.
PROS: To become Scion is the goal of this game. The winner rules the Domain of Ember, gains power, and receives extra points to further increase her/his character.
CONS: Your character may actually die trying.
