Trump/Description
Caitlin is seated left half profile, on a rock on a ridge overlooking the city in the background distance. She is looking off to the horizon, over the viewer's left shoulder. Her sword is on her back, a plain appearing servicable weapon, with a leather wrapped hilt and silvered butt and crossguards.
Caitlin has black hair, green eyes and tanned skin from being outdoors most of the time. She wears grey leather trousers tucked into knee high boots, a purple blouse with a grey vest over it, and a close fitting grey leather jacket with purple trim. Her sword is strapped across her back and daggers reside in each boot.
Background
A serious waif, Caitlin was alone much of the time. As a 'tomboy', much to her father's disappointment, she often pressed to compete with her brothers. She learned swordplay, archery and horsemanship, eventually surpassing her older (and stronger) brothers. One, in particular, began to beat her, jealous of her skills, forcing her to take refuge in the woods. In avoiding him and the sister that trailed him, she becomes adept in woodcraft then learns to love the peace of the forest. After a bitter argument with her father about her "inappropriate life choices", Caitlin moves into an old cottage, deep in the forest. Caterina, in despair, commands that her daughter's room shall remain as is, ready for Caitlin's return.
Items/Artifacts
Rhusalka:
A mare, 17 hands high, blue roan. Raised and trained by Caitlin in the forest, she is as agile and limber as a deer. Another rider would have great difficulty riding her due to the unique signals required for rider to mount communication.
Sword:
Similar to a cavalry saber, slightly curved, single-edged, plain leather-wrapped hilt with a silver crossguard. The blade is etched with a pattern of running stags.
Caterina's riding crop:
A butter-soft braided, white leather wrist cord disappears under the silver wire wrapped around the large end of a tapered object, just over a foot long. A silver ring binds the wire to the large end and caps a hard translucent bone or horn material underneath. The wire continues winding for another six inches past the object, stiffening braids of horse hair that end after another six inches in a tuft of white and grey. Not a tool for chastisement, although the large end might be heavy enough to knock out a commoner.
Clothing
Casual:
She wears grey leather trousers tucked into knee high boots, a purple blouse with a grey vest over it, and a close fitting grey leather jacket with purple trim. Her sword is strapped across her back and daggers reside in each boot.Formal:
A gown in shimmering gray/silver velvet, edged with purple satin. The neck is high, the bodice tight and slashed to the waist to show purple satin in a 'V' to the collar, also satin. The skirt is draped and slides around her hips and thighs as she moves. She wears a matching cape in the same gray/silver velvet with purple satin lining for travel to and from events. Jewelry includes moonstones and onyx in an ornate silver setting over her breast, matching earrings glow from her black hair, worn down, a silver circlet holding it from her face. A different silver ring graces each finger, with no stones in them.
