| Born: November 27 1885 in South Greenfield, Missouri Died: July 12 1964 in Cleveland, Ohio. Parents: Thomas L. Hill and Laura Lee Cooley Born and raised in Missouri. Sometime between 1915 and 1917, he moved to Cleveland, Ohio. Work: Was a horseshoer. A Business Agent for the Horsehoer's Union, so he traveled a lot. Worked for the Cleveland Mounted Police. He was much loved in this job. I've been told the Mounteds were in his funeral procession to the cemetery. Education: Assuming he went to Missouri schools, no info on this as yet. Marriage(s): 1st- Edyth Blankenfeld, sometime before 1912 Children: see Edyth 2nd- Mollie Livingston, married in the 1920's Children: none Author's note: My Aunt Bev told me this was her FAVORITE Grandfather. He was a very nice man, always had time to talk with her, and did not talk down to her, as adults sometimes do. |

Lived in Missouri till she moved with her husband William, to various places.Had children in Missouri, Nebraska, and Minnesota. Work: Wife and mother Education: Missouri schools. Marriage(s): 1st- William T. Hill Children: 3 boys August T. Hill Eugene Sebastian Hill Robert Louis Hill 2nd- Mr. Wuest/West Children: none 3rd- Leo Wolfinger Children: none Author's note: My mother said Gramma Edyth was very healthy for her age, remembers her standing in her kitchen making pies. Only the last couple years of her life(she died at age 92) did her health suffer. She had a couple of strokes, that left her bedridden, and she had trouble with remembering who people were. She definitely had a full life. |
