Welcome to Atlanta!

Yes, my friends, I now live in Lawrenceville, Georgia, which is just north of Atlanta. A far cry from Texas and California, I will admit, but I am enjoying myself immensely. I am very impressed with the area.
Lots of trees, just like in New Braunfels, but I will concede that they are a bit taller trees. It almost makes it seem like you don’t live in a city with 300 Wal-marts. I exaggerate, but there is definitely more to do here. There’s even a few dollar theatres! I'm all about the thrifty spending.
The hurricane season is taking its toll on the weather. It is definitely not Pepperdine weather. It’s been raining a lot. I'm talking torrential downpours. Hot rain. Ick. But somehow, it’s still beautiful days of sunny weather. I even got a sunburn!
One thing, I do have a complaint about. The roads. No, they’re not built terribly, or unkempt (not built for rain, but what road is?). This is my complaint: The fact that the roads change names halfway down for no apparent reason! Yes, that’s right! It’s the SAME road. With 2 names! Imagine you’re sitting at a light. Should you turn left, you would be heading down Bethesda, turn right, you’re on Herrington! Same road! Oh, and you won’t even believe this. Different roads, with the SAME name! So you see Old Norcross, and you think, “Hey, if I take this it will take me back to Herrington Rd! But does it? NO! Of course not! Because Old Norcross Rd doesn’t connect to the OTHER Old Norcross Rd! Yeah, go figure that one out.
