Shirtless Day in Winter
Next stop was Porthcothan,
further up the coast. This is a
small place with a few houses
and a wonderful beach.
Well I parked and walked down
the lane and across to the beach.
2 or 3 people were walking along
and this was the first point of the
afternoon where I was outside
and up close to anyone.
No problem, they just walked by.
Sadly it started to rain again so
I went back to my car and drove
on, this time to Treyarnon.

Here u can sit in the car park and
see the beach, which was lucky
since it was now raining hard.
5 or 6 people arrived in cars and
went down onto the beach dressed
in waterproofs and hoods.
A bit bored with the rain now, I
decided to get out anyway and
made my way to a shelter about
50 yards away.  I had some crisps
in my car so I
went back for them
then back again to the shelter to
eat them.
Wow, it was cold sitting there, it
was colder here anyway, but the
rain had also made my bare chest
wet!   But it was so cool to be
doing this I didn't care!!

Then it was back in the car and
off to Padstow, a resort with
gift shops and restaurants etc.
I was now 40 miles from home,
40 miles from my shirts, but
then I couldn't have got to them
even if I were there!!

I drove around a bit, stopped
along the harbourside and got
out briefly, then drove round to
the main harbour car park.

Now this bit I cannot believe I did!
There were some people around
both in and out of vehicles, well
having parked, I then got out of
my car and walked across the car
park, had a "wee", and then walked
back to my car!  Just as if it had
been summer!

Now experiencing a very strange
feeling, it was time to start back,
but I just wanted one more look
around Porthcothan on the way....

Padstow in summer!
Now where....
Back one
Back to start
